Electronics engineers research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use utilizing knowledge of electronic theory and materials properties. They design electronic circuits and components for use in fields such as telecommunications, aerospace guidance and propulsion control, acoustics, or instruments and controls. Engineers apply the theories and principles of science and mathematics to research and develop economical solutions to technical problems. Engineers design systems that ensure the quality of the products and the efficiency of the workforce and manufacturing process.
