Definition of Occupation

School psychologists investigate processes of learning and teaching and develop psychological principles and techniques applicable to educational problems. They work in elementary and secondary schools or school district offices to resolve students' learning and behavior problems. They collaborate with teachers, parents, and school personnel to improve classroom management strategies or parenting skills. They work to counter substance abuse, and they work with students with disabilities or gifted and talented students to improve teaching and learning strategies.
