Definition of Occupation

Plans, coordinates and directs advertising and promotional campaigns. Works in advertising agency as account executive acting as agency's representative to a client, or in corporate advertising department as advertising manager handling the internal advertising efforts and/or supervising the work of the agency. Interacts and negotiates with media companies, confers with clients/department heads to determine advertising strategy and budget. Coordinates activities of the research, creative, media, production departments and account services. Monitors advertising campaign and implementation. Tracks sales figures, brand awareness and other measurable results and alters strategies to meet goals.
