Definition of Occupation

Teaches language arts--listening, speaking, reading, writing English/other languages. Typically works in public or private middle or secondary school. English: emphasizes writing and reading skills, study of literature written in (or translated into) English, critical thinking skills. Other languages: places primary emphasis on verbal communication, then teaches reading and writing; helps students gain some insight into groups who use the language, their history and culture; small but increasing number work in elementary schools.
