Definition of Occupation
Assists and advises management in planning, controlling and analyzing economic and financial activities of business, nonprofit or government organization. Provides accurate financial statements for commercial banks, government overseers and other external bodies. Most work in business and industry, many in nonprofit and government institutions. Some are self-employed.NOTE: In smaller organizations, management accountants perform internal audits; in most larger organizations internal auditing is now considered to be a separate occupation.
