Definition of Occupation

Responsible for the successful operation, financial management and maintenance of income-producing properties (real estate) according to the goals of owners. Owners include individuals, property management and other companies, government agencies and nonprofit organizations (universities, pension funds, housing associations etc.). Increasingly specializes in either multi-family or commercial properties, and in subcategories such as apartment buildings or office/retail/industrial properties.

DO NOT CONFUSE with facilities manager who plans, designs and manages physical workplace for single owner.
