Customer Service Representative
Definition of Occupation
Acts as liaison and primary contact between a company and customers who have bought its products or services. Handles customers' inquiries; attempts to resolve any problems to their satisfaction in order to keep and increase their business. Has extensive, specialized knowledge of the company's services or products and applications. Some positions may require complex technical and scientific background. Most work done by phone; some are responsible for greeting and assisting customers in an office, store or other workplace. May work in manufacturing company or service industry.
