Definition of Occupation
Instructs K-12 students in art--including painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, ceramics, sculpture, textiles, computer graphics and design. Teaches aesthetics, art criticism and appreciation, art history and art of various cultures. Helps students develop aesthetic and expressive abilities. Teaches students at several/many grade levels, depending on setting. Some school districts have specialized art programs on the elementary and secondary levels. May teach in public, private or parochial schools. Some teach in preschool settings, community arts programs or art museums.
