Definition of Occupation

Conducts interviews with consumers to gather information, obtain opinions about or reactions to various products, services, advertising, concepts or issues. May conduct interviews on technical subjects and/or interview executives. Most work in marketing research firms or as free lance interviewers.

NOTE: Interviewers who work for opinion poll organizations perform very similar work.
