Definition of Occupation
Collects, analyze and organizes salary and employment data within an organization. Conducts systematic, formal studies of duties and human requirements of individual jobs, together with contexts in which they are performed. Prepares job descriptions delineating duties, training and skills required. Assists in the development, installation and administration of compensation programs. Provides basis for many decisions made by human resources department relating to fair compensation, training, recruitment, performance, appraisal, selection, etc.
