Definition of Occupation

Teaches and cares for children from birth to eight years of age in early childhood programs operated by public institutions (public school systems, military installation etc.), nonprofit and for-profit organizations, corporations or private individuals. Programs may operate a few hours a day for ten months in the year, or stay open ten to twelve hours a day year-round and serve children with disabilities and children of diverse cultural and language backgrounds.
