Definition of Occupation

Introduces young children to formal learning and fosters personal growth. Teaches basic skills of reading, writing, mathematics, science/nature and social studies to children in kindergarten through 5th-6th grade. May teach a single group of children at one grade level all day or 1-2 subjects to several classes a day. May teach students of many linguistic backgrounds and students with mild/moderate disabilities. Works in public, private and parochial schools.
