Definition of Occupation

Researches, designs, develops, tests and assists in the manufacture of computer hardware (computer chips, circuit boards, modems, printers, embedded systems, optical character recognition devices, display devices etc.), software (programs for operating systems, network distribution, compilers), other computer-related equipment, computer components or complete computer systems. May specialize in device development, circuit design or computer hardware.

NOTE: Some overlap between the two disciplines as computer engineers must have expertise in computer hardware and software.
