Definition of Occupation

Provides vocational rehabilitation services such as job seeking skills, career counseling, testing and evaluation to people with physical, emotional or cognitive disabilities. Counsels individuals who have sustained severe injuries, cannot return to former jobs and need counseling for alternative employment, training and planning. Determines feasibility of vocational rehabilitation and suitability of job or business consistent with client's desires, aptitudes and physical limitations. Plans and arranges for job-training and aids client in obtaining medical and social services. Assists with personal adjustment throughout rehabilitation program.
