Definition of Occupation

Studies the role of government, public law, political institutions, political behavior, public policies/administration in America and other countries--and political and economic relations among nations. Most teach in colleges and universities and specialize in one of many fields such as comparative/international politics, political parties and voter behavior--or concentrate on a country/region. Others work in research/consulting organizations.

DO NOT CONFUSE with those who study political science then become lawyers, politicians, public affairs officers etc.
