Definition of Occupation
Manages, develops, protects, conserves and utilizes forest lands and their resources--e.g. vegetation (including timber), soil, water, air quality, wildlife, forage and recreation areas. Emphasis may be determined by employer--government agencies, private companies, non-profit organizations, non-industrial private landowners, consulting firms or academia. Specializations include timber management, range management, wilderness management, forest hydrology, forest protection, forest engineering, forest recreation and urban forestry.
