Works in research, development, production and quality control, environmental protection, toxicology, testing and analysis. May specialize in organic, inorganic, physical, nuclear, analytical, pharmaceutical, environmental or computational chemistry or biochemistry. Employed in industry, government agencies and academia. Some work in sales, marketing, management, patent or environmental law, teach or consult.
